Shahrokh M. Saudagaran Shahrokh Saudagaran PhD, is the Gary E. and James A. Milgard Endowed Dean at the University of Washington Tacomas Milgard School of Business. He is Secretary General of the Asian Academic Accounting Association and Past-President of the American Accounting Associations International Accounting Section. In 2002, the Japanese Association of International Accounting Studies awarded him a lifetime honorary membership in recognition of his contributions to international accounting. In 2004, he received the American Accounting Associations Outstanding International Accounting Educator Award. His research on the impact of international accounting diversity on global listing decisions and on financial reporting in emerging capital markets, particularly those in the Asia-Pacific region, has been published in the top accounting, finance and international business journals. He has presented his research at conferences and university colloquia in over 30 countries. Saudagaran consults and teaches executive seminars in international accounting and finance for corporations in Asia, Europe, and the United States.

Born in 1967 in Nagasaki Japan. Muneji Fuchimoto is an art director and the founder of SCOG Deisgn Co., Ltd. He is an origami designer, teacher and creator or Orirobo, origami robots. He is the author of several books on origami including Quarry's Robogami (2015) and Origami Racers (2015).

Some experience required... too bad it doesn't include a game suggestion.

My boys were really excited when this book arrived in the mail, they are aged 14 and 17. They were a bit disappointed that the "story" was so short, but thought that the designs were fun and immediately made two each.

They both said that the designs are probably too complicated for anyone younger than about 12, unless they have origami experience or someone that knows origami helping/guiding them. Still, it is a fun book, with complete instructions and paper to fold. It would make a really fun, different birthday present for a boy!

The book includes four pages of basic folding instructions, five story pages (four at the front and one towards the back), twelve designs (six robo-soldiers, five battle accessories, and a space scorpion villain). Difficulty ranges from 2 to 6 stars (out of seven possible). Each of the robo-soldiers has a small data box with ability ratings (power, speed, offensive power, defensive power, and features).

Our boys said it would be more fun if there was more of a game suggestion involved so that you could have a "real battle", as suggested in the story.

Hard even as an adult

Looks great. My son(9yr) is good at craft and really excited. But I really don't recommend it for a kid under 10 at least. Many steps are too complicated and required a skill to handle very tiny foldings with very three dimensional thinking. It takes to a little longer time than other origamis even as an adult.

Also there is not many papers with the book so I strongly recommend to try any robot several times with other papers first then do it with the included papers if you want to fold with the same color paper as shown in the book. Because it's not easy to figure out with pictures, especially at the first time. I doubt if it's really for kids.

Fold, display and play with origami robots

This is a cute kit perfect for folders who like origami that includes accessories that start out at 8 steps and then increase to robots that have up to 49 steps. The paper is colored on both sides and perfectly co-ordinate with the projects. Great to take on the go.

Great Advice and Cheap Insurance

As a professional photographer and writer for many years, I have occasionally bumped into problems related to making or using photographs -- people who tell you that you can't make a photograph, people who use your photographs without permission -- and I found Bert's first edition of this book several years ago and was delighted with its contents. His model-release form, for example, is the most simple and un-intimidating I have ever seen, and getting a signed model release is required for some of the work I do. I thought the advice generally was superb -- so much so that I bought copies of the book for everybody in our little company.

Since then we have worked with Bert on many copyright infringement problems, always successfully, and some of that experience has been incorporated into this second edition of the Handbook. There is tremendous misunderstanding about how the Copyright Act works and what a photographer must do to get full protection -- formal registration -- and what a photographer can get when a registered image is infringed. Bert knows this topic inside and out and shares that information in this book.

If you are a photographer who plans to keep from being sued, arrested, or harassed, and if you want to know what your options are when somebody uses your work without permission, Bert's LEGAL HANDBOOK is great advice at very reasonable expense. In fact, it is worth it for just the model release alone!

If you're turning pro, you'll want to read this book, too.

After jumping into the digital world and actually selling my images, the thought occurred to me that perhaps I should learn a few things about protecting my rights and respecting the rights of others. That is, I wanted information about how to cover my legal backside.

Krages' book describes a U.S. photographer's rights and responsibilities using a clear and conversational prose. While he explains the legal jargon specific to photography, he never forgets his readers care more about making photographs than reading dry law books. The book includes a great breadth of information in modest depth. I really appreciated the sample forms.

Given that I'm a novice pro, I found this book extraordinarily helpful. If you're turning pro, you'll want to read this book, too.

Your Questions Answered

As an advanced novice taking the first steps to go pro, I had a LOT of questions about legal issues of photography. I'd searched for some of my questions online and in a few books, but the answers were never good. They either focused on different questions or didn't give enough of an answer to satisfy me.

When this book arrived, I flipped through it and read all of the photo captions. Wow! Immediately I saw its value. Then I started reading through sections of the text. It answered all of the questions I'd had.

While one would best be advised to contact an attorney if a legal issue came up, this book goes a long way to help the reader avoid legal problems. I am VERY satisfied that I bought this book. If you're a professional photographer with legal questions, I'd highly recommend it.

Definatly a keeper for modelling masters like me!

Anyone wanting a glimpse of the standard battletank of the U.S. Arny, this book is it! Up to date and with numerous pictures of the Abrams tank, short but to the point, the text is crisp and factual. Definatly a keeper for modelling masters like me!

I got my hands on this book a few weeks ago since eventually I plan to build a model of this tank.

I am by no means what they call a "rivet counter" so I can't really speak to any of the more esoteric or highly technical aspects of the book or what's presented in it, but I can speak to the fact that it is a treasure trove of images that have come in pretty handy already at the very least to identify parts.

It's really well presented, great photos and detail shots that include clear descriptions. Again, I am by no means someone who can say what every part is on an actual vehicle but this book has been invaluable for me to start planning my new project!

Kudos to Chris and Brett on a great title.

Bought two dozen copies of this new book to sell at a local show in Canada along other new titles.. Had a look at it and was very much impressed with detail, coverage and access the book provides.. It's meant at the hobbiest and it is very good value for money. Needless to say that I was sold out of 20+ copies in 4 hours.. Buy a copy if you can find one
